My kid attends PSH at Mount Emily - she loves it. The teachers are good and class size small. She loves school so much that when we walk by the school in the evening, she would insist on going in and she’d want to stay inside there instead of going to the park with me! She is clearly fond of her teachers, which speaks volumes about the level of care.

I find this curriculum interesting, though not strictly academic - which I don’t have a problem with as I do believe in their philosophy of learning through play. Certainly the kids all seem really happy in the school - that is quite important I thk!
I was troubled about the change of principal, and was assured by Melinda that Lauren is very similar to her in terms of style. Keeping fingers crossed!

      Hi Dolphine,

The previous principal of this school told me that it's because parents consider it a second-tier school (first-tier being schools like Raffles, Henry Park, etc). So basically if parents cannot get their child into the first-tier school, then they'll look at second-tier. I thought this very strange too but I guess it's good news for the rest of us who want our kids in SMPS 🙂
Haha! Thanks very much jacsplace! We can possibly get the LO into the RGPS too.... but I personally have my reservations on sending my kid to the first tier schools 😉

Hello, I am staying within 1km of SMPS and would probably send my daughter there.

I’m just wondering, for a relatively well known school with an illustrious history, why is this school not very popular in terms of P1 registration? Is there something I’m missing out?
