True. Anything, 1 person settle. 😢

Saw neighbour Ah Pek has 7 kids, plus in-laws, is like a football team. Any crisis, wow, :!: so many pple turn up to help.... :celebrate:

My kid will be very stress if any crisis. satu orang šŸ˜ž

unless I find him 4 wives? :celebrate:

I beg to disagree that having more kids will ensure one be looked after in old age. I know of someone who has 4 sons, and now that he is in his twilight years, ill and bed-ridden, they all sent him to an old folk's home instead of hiring a maid to look after him at home. So sad... šŸ˜ž

Nowadays, having kids does not guarantee one can an siang wan nian, so better to save enough for our old age, keep ourselves in good health instead of depending on our kids.

Alamak, my colleague's financial planning is wrong? :?
He works to pay for their tuitions, so that all three kids become GEP, then all universities. Then, educates them daily by chanting: must give dad/mom $$$ when you grow up.

He expects to collect $1500 each from 3 kids after 60. Wow, S$4500 monthly income.. better than annuity from AIA. He said educating them now very important. Programming into their brains. Must feed parents. :celebrate:

Do you think it will work?

    • RE: Less Teaching, More Learning?

Visited kid school the other day. Noticed the teachers like to make them shift tables/chairs often to form groups to discuss. After that, they will have to shift them back to the original positions.

Now I know roughly \"teach less learn more\" means. They expect the kids to discuss among themselves to come out with some answers or solutions for the problems. Encourage them to talk a lot in class.

I feel this system is good for higher level and those schools with longer contact hours. 😢 Teachers will have to spend a lot of time collecting answers (i.e. waiting for shy students to response, some jokes crack, etc.), supervising the shifting of furnitures, etc. :?

I guess they do not learn as much in school as we did in the old days. šŸ™ given the limited half day sessions. :?

      What is your view? :celebrate:
