Hi there
My 2.5 year old girl is a great escape artist and has this habit of wriggling herself out of the car seat harness such that her arms are free from the harness. The bottom harness is still secured properly over her pelvis but her upper body are free from the harness.
I know this is extremely dangerous if there is an accident. How do you deal with it to ensure safety of the child?
Thanks !!!

RE: Do you speak mandarin to your toddler at home?
Hi parents,
I have a 2 1/2 year toddler and we hardly speak mandarin to her at home, almost never.
Her grandparents speak a little mandarin to her.
At the childcare, the chinese teacher speaks mandarin to her too.
Lately, i tried speaking mandarin to her. She does not seem to understand…
Wondering if any of you have similar experiences?

RE: When did your toddler start counting numbers and alphabets?
thanks slmkhoo for your response!
Yes. My girl is VERY stubborn kind. So i guess she is unwilling and not unable?
She seems to know when items go missing. Like if she has 5 items in her hand and 2 go missing, she will hunt for them. she is unwilling to recite numbers and alphabets. Whenever i ask her to repeat after me, she just goes quiet. But other things as well, ask her to repeat words after me, she unwilling too.
She is the quiet type i guess.
I brought her to psychologist early this year who assessed her non-verbal IQ. Turned out to be quite high. But yet she does not want to learn her numbers and alphabets…
quite stressful when the teacher feedback to me… -

RE: When did your toddler start counting numbers and alphabets?
Dear mummies,
My 28 mths old girl is currently in a preschool (childcare) and her peers are able to count from 1 to 10 or even 20. Many can also recite their alphabets from a to z. However my girl is unable to do so.
I am quite worried. So would like to know when your toddlers mastered that?
Would appreciate any feedback :rahrah:
