For Paya Lebar Methodist Girls Secondary, the school staff confirmed there isn't any non-affiliated posting to their school from MOE this year. Strange, since there were always postings for the past several years. So there's no input for PLMGS except for the standard affiliated express cop.

Yes last year the COP is 250. Now is 216 (Express). Would the school be close down due to no demand?

Actually the low COP is due to huge demand from affiliates. I think all Methodist schools can apply eg MGS, PLMGS, FMSS etc, I might be wrong. But in any case, it means the demand to go back to PLMGS is so high from even their own girls that there is no more spaces for outsiders. The school will take in all the affiliates until the last space available.

But in 2 years time, 20% of the spaces have to be reserved for outsiders, so the COP will probably increase again.

😂 Congrats! Our boys gonna be school mates. Is your boy an ACSian? If yes I think tomorrow don’t have to report to School.

Any idea the COP for acsi IP then?

My son’s T-Score is 257. Posted to ACSI “Integrated, Express”. Not sure if it’s the lowest COP. Let’s see others. I was sleeping when a friend text me to check sms

Integrated Prog stands for IP, which means the 6 year programme, skipping the O Levels.

      Thanks for the clarification!

      Hi daddies and mummies,

      What is `Integrated prog, express’?

      Thanks!

Means through train to the affiliated JC, don't need to go through O level. Congrats!

I see... Thanks! I’m confused coz my DS applied for ACS (I) IB, T-Score 257. Botherline compared to last year’s COP 256. Thus unsure what it means.

      Thank you very much!
Hi all,

Thanks for the great sharing. Would like to seek some advice. My DS TS was 257. he is considering either ACS(I) or SJI IB. Do you all think it’s risky...or rather do you all think the COP will be raised c/w 2016 for these 2 schools? Both schools are rather equidistant from our house in terms of traveling time.

Thanks in advance for your comments!

As you would have 6 choices, with 257 you can afford:

      1st choice: ACS(IP) - 256
      2nd choice: SJI(IP) - 253

Just make sure you have enough safe options after that.

Can include ACSI/Express or ACSB in case (assuming they hv affiliation privileges) before SJI(IP) so as not to loose affiliation privileges & SJI(IP) wld still be good if meet COP?

      That is :-

      1st choice: ACS(IP) - 256
      2nd choice: ACSI(E)
      3rd choice: ACSB
      4th choice: SJI(IP) - 253

DoubleJJ : I'm asking not to change yr decision. Just for my interests.
Thanks! He was just undecided between the 2 boys IB schools. 3rd choice is likely NJC followed by ACS (I) Express, ACS (B) and finally Fairfield Methodist

Thanks. have been diligently reading the whole forum since Sat morning, even when doing my morning business but very little info online, esp regarding these 2 schools. Thus posting to seek advice. Love to hear another other comments.
