I know of a few agencies no longer bringing in Indo maid due to the rise in salary. Seriously, is the majority of Singaporean truly willing to pay S$400-S$450 for a new Indo maid? It definitely is not worth paying. For such an amount, I rather get Filippino as they speak English and most of them can work. Its like a fresh grad asking for salary around S$4000. I don’t mind paying for a FDW around S$400 if she is responsible and less coaching needed and can speak and understand English. Basically it is the pay given which is equivalent to qualification and experience.
