Hi there, I am new here and I am a full time Math / Chinese tutor. I have been giving tuition for 11 years, teaching students from P1 to S5. Longest time with student at 6 years (from P4 to Sec 4).


My teaching style focuses alot on igniting the interest to pick up the subject and improve towards competency in the subjects. To accomplish this, I employ encouragement techniques and provide incentives for students to do and practise / apply more.

My belief - Not only being exam smart is important; the ability to apply and see the relevance of learning in life is just as crucial.

For long term approach, let him know that mutual trust is essential and you will believe him, because he is your son. But trust takes ages to build, moments to destroy. So let him learn the values and virtues of it. Better than tell him what is right what is wrong (surface approach).
