      I took the following image from the presentation given by the principal in the school hall on the day when PSLE results were released in 2024. The school’s performance is below the national average. Usually, around 65% of students or so will make it to G3. In this year’s cohort, only 50% made it to G3. Very disappointing. If your child is not placed in Joy (name of the top class), be mentally prepared that your child will not be given the opportunity to study more challenging materials. Opportunities to represent the school for olympiads are given only to Joy students. only 15 students from Joy scored AL10 points and below, out of the entire cohort of 200 students. Appalling performance. IMG_0321.JPG

      Any idea which CCA at PHS is the easiest to get 2 LEAPS points or useful for DSA into JC?

      @bbbay
      Thanks for tracking the statistics. I wonder if anyone has the statistics for number of students vs COP. Wonder if this years COP will be lower because there are more dragon babies? My son blames me for birthing him in a Dragon year so he has to work harder. 😬

      Can anyone share:

      1. where do most MSHS students go to after graduation? Were students more inclined towards JC or Poly?

      2. If JC, is it CJC?

      @Hiaweh I emailed SJI admissions a couple of days ago. They have already sent out the email for the shortlisted interviewees. If you have not receive the email, means not shortlisted.

      Hi fellow parents,

      For those who have used DSA in the past with your older kids, did you have to wait till the MOE cut-off date to hear back from the school(s) on whether your child has been given a CO, WL or unsuccessful? The cut-off date this year is Sep 9. It is quite a long wait from the July trials/interviews to Sep. My DS has an interview in Aug, but is not our top choice school (only threw it in there because we didn’t want to leave 3rd choice blank). But if we hear back from our 1st or 2nd school before 1st week of Aug, we could potentially skip the interview scheduled in Aug.

      TC_Parents\" post_id=\"2134041\" time=\"1716107636\" user_id=\"142605:

      Thanks again Zac's mum. Any others have experience in NJC and RI DSA art? Would there be any disadvantage of my opportunities in NJC and SJI DSA art if I also apply RI DSA art? Would NJC and/or SJI consider that we are not sincere about the application as RI is also in the DSA art list? Thanks!
      I attended the talk at SJI this past weekend. The principal mentioned that it is very common for parents to apply to VS, RI, ACSI, HCI in addition to SJI. He did not say they would not give a CO to students who also applied to one of these other schools but asked for parents to be considerate and call SJI to let them know ASAP if they decided to take up the CO from RI/VS/ACSI/HCI. He explained that getting a CO means your child will be guaranteed a place at the school and parents do not need to fear this place will be given to someone else (unless your child scores 23 points or higher). He has a long waitlist every year and if parents can call to let them know their DS are going to RI/HCI/ACSI/VS, then they can give the CO to someone else on the waitlist sooner.
