Hi, usually at the start of the year, the boys will be required to wear full uniform to school and if there's any PE Lesson on that day, my boy will wear his PE T-shirt and shorts underneath his full uniform after which he will have to change back to his uniform after PE lessons. But there is also a choice to change to PE attire in school during PE lessons. Nearer to mid year in 2021, with the change to hotter weather, the school started to implement half uniform even on days without PE. So rest assured that they will get to wear half uniform everyday when the time comes
Hi parents with boys in VS, can i check what is the attire that the boys can wear to school on PE days? My boy said their FT requires them to wear full U to school n bring PE attire to change. Doesn't make sense to me as i though the norm for schools is half U. Thanks.
For now full uniform everyday till further notice. Guess it is to train the boys how to be proper gentlemen. The school is very particular with the grooming of the boys. To me, this is a good thing.

RE: 2021 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2009)
Hi Parents,
Pertaining to the moderation of PSLE scores, I checked in SEAB website and the following is the explanation, if you can see, there was one part that mentioned this
"grading takes into consideration paper difficulty and the quality of candidates’ work…"
1.
Are bell curves used in grading the PSLE?
We would like to clarify that grades awarded to candidates taking the PSLE are not based on pre-determined percentage of candidates for certain grades (i.e. bell curves). Instead, grading takes into consideration various factors such as the paper difficulty and the quality of candidates’ work, so as to maintain standards across years -

Yeah.. I think AL 6 is probably not 262, should be between 257-260
The ESIS last year was 261 , and it’s AL5 this year . So I think AL 6 is probably not 262Checkng\" post_id=\"2047825\" time=\"1637746033\" user_id=\"194771:
AL6 is about 262 and above While AL 5 is about 268 and above if converted to the old method.
Based on 2020.. RGS and RI cut off is about 260 to 261. This means that those got AL6 might need to ballot though the chances should be high. -
RE: 2021 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2009)
Hi Parents,
I am a mom of a boy who took PSLE last year. There were some who asked about whether AL6 can get into certain top schools. There is one interesting point to note that usually 10 classes of 30-31 students are allocated to each school, which means the intake is about 300+.
Please do not forget that there are DSA students who are already confirmed enrolment. Which mean the vacancies could be easily lesser than 300 depending on the number of CCAs these schools have. Some schools can take in more than 100-150 per cohort (from sports to music to art…)
So what I am advising is 2nd and 3rd choice will be very important. Hope this helps. -

RE: Class of 2019/20 GCE ‘A’ Level Results
JC Rankings in Singapore based on release of A level results in Year 2021)
Ranking is based on release of results reflected in the official website of schools.
For the benefit of parents or students who would prefer to do comparison based on official results ( with verification in the respective school websites), the information displayed below would be the most accurate to gauge the standard of various JCs. Unless there are official results released in the school website, otherwise i would exclude JCs that did not release any info in their respective website. Thank you for understanding
JC Rankings (Result release in Year 2021
1) Hwa Chong Institution (Mean 85, 25% score UAS 90 RP) RP stands for Rank Points, full score is 90
2) Raffles Junior College (Mean 84.5, 28% score UAS 90 RP)
3) Victoria Junior College (Median 85, 15% score UAS 90 RP, 40% > 87.5 RP)
4) Eunoia Junior College (Median 85, 13% score UAS 90 RP, 50% > 85 RP )
5) Dunman High (Median 83, 40% = or > 85 RP)
6)National Junior College (Median 83, 40% = or > 85 RP)
7)River Valley High ( no indication of median, 30% = or > 85 RP)
(For more detailed information, please visit the respective school websites) One point to note though is traditionally, people will look at mean or median score as a gauge, but it would be good to look at other factors like how the schools fare for General Paper and Project work as this will affect the overall rank points (RP) of students for admission to unis. Another interesting point to note is the percentage of students in the school scoring perfect UAS of 90 RP, Let's celebrate their efforts including those schools which didn't officially released their results. Well done to all students!
