Just want to seek some advise (on behalf of my dear) on the best way to wash the white uniform, especially to prevent the shirt from becoming yellowish. (and also the metal buttons) Never washed a full white shirt before...

Will it be advisable to wash the shirt separately or can just put together with the washer?

Last time there used to be trials to start half an hour later on certain days, but alot of us rejected the idea because it simply means that we end later and lesser time to rest and revise at home. Also starting late don't really help to make the day better, commuting later means we are squeezing with all the morning crowd at arn 7+.


Dats also y many of us tend to commute and come sch early and den use the morning time to prepare ourselves in sch bef morning assembly. In the mornings we would usually sit at the quadrangle or in the canteen discussing work and chatting with classmates (and sometimes those kanchiong ppl would just challenge each other to do finish the tutorials for the whole wk bef sch starts ), those were good memories for me

Saw in Nanyang JC trend someone posted some stats on the intake of Nanyang JC, Nan Chiau is one of the main feeder secondary sch for Nanyang JC.

I am not entirely sure of the absolute number of students from Chung Cheng but I am certain that there are a great mix of students from other secondary schools as well. I am afraid I can't answer much to your question about Physics vs Biology in NYJC as I do not have in-depth knowledge on its operation. Perhaps attend their Open House in 2018. From what I know, NYJC is quite strong in their Sciences.

If I am not mistaken for the last 3 years Nan Chiau High was the main feeder school for NYJC, with about 96 students for year 2016 (Chung Cheng High 2 sch combined was a notch more than 100). That is more than Chung Cheng Main or Chung Cheng Yishun if counting on single schools. The rest of the 600 plus vacancies is distributed among students from der rest of der 198 schools.

For 2017, the bulk is shared among Nan Chiau High, Nan Hua High and the affiliated Chung Cheng High (Main & Yishun).

So actually there is no need to worry too much of the affiliation matters. As long as your DC meets the criteria he/she shd be able to get in. (its not dat competitive compared to IP schools like NJC, HCI, RI and Eunoia JC where there only 200 plus vacancies)

Are these 2 ways the fastest ways to get to NCHS fm Sembawang (near MRT) in morning? Any advises are welcome. TIA

1) 117 change 965 along Yishun then change 372 at the stop before Sengkang Int (alight at NCHS side gate)

Why have all open houses when results are not out?
U went visit but in the end cannot meet cut-off point also no use.
They shd hv it after results are out

Write in to sch bah if u want. Open houses are strictly the school's own matters. U complaint MOE they at most send out advisory only they don't have the power to force schools to change open house dates coz its not their responsibility to do so.

Every school do their programmes differently, and sometimes its due to their admin and their curriculum requirements (e.g. extra lessons, sch trips etc ). So its best to feedback to the school directly.

Heard Nan Chiau High is strong in sciences...


Does the school offer 3 pure sciences along with SAP Bi-cultural Programme?

How is Chung Cheng (Yishun)'s discipline like? Is it adequately strict?


Sometimes see boys behaving rudely outside so abit worried for my girl. But if in the school the discipline strict then not an issue?
