My two boys, 7 and 9 years old currently in the Jurong East Branch. They have been with cma for a year. After a year long learning, we do not see any improvement in our 9 years old boy. His arithmetic calculation has not improved hence we decided to withdraw him from the center. There was a clause written in the contract upon enrollment that a one month notice has to be given to the center for withdrawal. As the enrollment form was signed one year ago, we have long forgotten about the requirement. Hence we only informed the center of the withdrawal three weeks before instead of a month notice. As a result, our $100 deposit was to be forfeited. While we fully understand it was an overlook on our side, we still appeal to the center manager. The center manager was rude and demanding over the phone. Lecturing us on how the center has to be managed with rules just like how a country has to be ruled. Throughout the 10 minutes conversation, we could only listen meekly. While we feel that the center has a full right to reject our appeal, we do not agreed with the center manager way of handling the situation. It could be done in a polite and less demanding manner. We were informed that we could sign our child up for another term so that it would give us sufficient time to give that one month notice to get back our deposit. We have decided not to since the program is not benefiting our older boy. It would be silly to invest more time and money in the program. We have decided to forgo the deposit and transfer our younger boy to another outlet. It is truly disappointing to encounter such bad service.
