RE: St Gabriel's Primary
I would think that if tick in 2nd box means 2 out of 4 marks for the component.
Then overall, worked into the 5% weightage.
There is only one more component, which is Chinese ‘listening’.
That one is ‘ongoing’. So, I think they will not return that one. That assessment sheet didn’t mention anything about ting xie being weighted leh.
There were just 4 parts. Listening, recitation, oral/picture discription and written assessment.
U want me to scan and email u my copy? -
RE: St Gabriel's Primary
I have check the assessment plan and, yes, those returned today are graded.
The written assessment from the 1A activity book is 10% weightage.
The recitation of the nursery rhyme is 5% weightage.
Lastly, the oral/picture description is also 5% weightage. -

But u can check the date done against the assessment paper schedule given. If same date then should be. -

Buy from what u have told me, about him doing his work on his own, completing his homework, etc.
He doesn’t seemed to be distracted to me leh.
Hmm. Did they say what can be done to improve? -
RE: St Gabriel's Primary
I think dont have. He said no school on Thursday. And didn’t mention anything about meeting parents.
I was thinking since this is their first year, more time should be given and it should be more guided during the non assessed worksheets. How can they allow them to leave blanks? Doesn’t help that my son super easily distracted. Sure not focused.
But I will also try to give him some practices at home. -
RE: St Gabriel's Primary
Mine not any better lor. Just passed. Dunno how he do until left one whole page blank.
He got his most mistakes in the close passage.
Buy more assessment books, or target his weakness and drill him on those. -

Ya! Mine has, \"Please focus and complete your work.\"eileenp:
Nope! I know my boy too well.
That compo was provided by the teacher and he copied it.
My son even has difficulties writing one sentence.
Ok, don't feel too bad. Mine worse.. He only write 1 sentence and tcr say something like if you concentrate you would be able to finish it... Sigh
Then a model compo was printed and pasted on his compo book and he had to copy all as corrections. *faint* -
