      Hi,
I was looking at my primary school kid's question paper and the answer looks right to me, but he didn't get marks for it. Am I missing something or is my kid not studying enough? This is not the first time this is happening.

Since his grades have been dropping I want to send him to a good tuition center for science. Any suggestions?

I believe the question is asking for the differences in the dispersal method but the answer is about the differences in the seed.

yes thank you. this is the issue, it's not easy for many of the kids to know what to write. I need help changing their mindset.

his PSLE is approaching, and tuition has not help thus far. I need someone who can change his thinking soon. Although it's not easy i know

      Schools teach
      C - Claim
      E - Evidence
      R - Reason
It's basic structure / process in science research. Nothing hard.

      Keep it simple.
unfortunately, it's not as easy as it sounds, everyone use CER, but most people in my DS's class still do badly. like reasoning, most people are not able to get the right reason.

      :thankyou:

Great articles! Very helpful, especially for a first-time mum like me.

You are more than welcome! ๐Ÿ˜„

Please let me know if you need any help in the future. I am very interested in youth education in general and many forum members helped me with their post so I am looking to contribute as well ๐Ÿ™‚

At what grade is your child if I may ask?

Oh, I have a toddler who keeps me on my toes! I'm banking the articles for future use! But I do have a sister who has 3 daughters under the age of 8. She can be a control freak at times, so the articles are perfect for her! ๐Ÿ˜‚

[quote=\"realtalk\"]Hello! Section B is really tough. I am considering maths heuristic section B class or CCE for the holiday break. I am seriously considering either one but if someone could give me feedback on how the classes helped their kids, Iโ€™d appreciate it. Thanks.

I feel you, realtalk. My P4 daughter had the same problem last year. Math was kind of traumatizing for her. She somehow had the idea that if youโ€™re smart, you can do math and, if youโ€™re not smart, you cannot. Her confidence was greatly affected as she was getting failing marks on exams.

This is an interesting discussion. I believe parents make a lot of mistakes sometimes when they accuse kids how it's their fault for some low grade, how it's easy and especially if they compare them with some other kids.

I found two very helpful articles for parents who consider tuition for their kids:
