The google drive folder are accessible via a link on their school website
Is it OK to just share all the documents meant for MGS parents in a forum? I have not read everything on the folder but just wondering if it is right.

MGS seems to be having mixed form classes
I wonder why in dual-track IP-OP schools, the form classes are still separate. Has no school even considered having mixed form classes in the same spirit as the govt’s intent with rolling out FSBB?[/quote]

Can also consider buses that uses PIE like 59 and 129 change to 93 in comparison to MRT if this helps.
Need some kind advice here from parents who also stayed in the east.
We stay in the east, near Tampines. My DD result is AL4 but we are concerned of the travel distance for her, if she get into RGS. We wanted her to consider DHS as it seems nearer. I would like to hear from those parents who stay in East.
Any comments greatly appreciated. -

11. Students do not need to report to their posted secondary schools upon receiving their S1 Posting Results. Students should refer to their posted schools' websites for more information such as the reporting details, booklist, and purchase of books and uniforms. Parents of the incoming S1 cohort who are on Parents Gateway (PG) will also receive instructions from their posted schools from the afternoon the S1 Posting results are released.
Yikes, I called the school again today (I hope they don't keep callerID!).
This time the person who answered said that students may need to report to school the next day, though she added she is not completely sure and to just wait for the details to be published.
Anyone heard anything? What are the odds that most schools are reverting everything back to in-person reporting? I hope they will at least keep the online reporting option available :scared:
..... Here I thought my headaches would end on PSLE result day :slapshead:

Can parents get to see the papers when a review is requested? If yes, it would be good as Math is not subjective, straight away you can tell how many marks are assigned unlike English/Chinese papers which have subjective elements in compo/compre. -

My boy wants VS now… his reason, “because i qualify”, yeah but barely. Which is why I worry about whether he can cope since he’s at the tail end. Im trying to convince him SJI is more point friendly.
Never think of JC.
My brother was from VS some donkey years ago. He says it’s competitive, the best excel, go to best unis and the rest, go to other JCs like he did. But i cannot remember much , i was very young then. -

(2) Every year, typically how many SJI boys move from the O level track to the IP track after Year 2?
From 2015 onwards, about 25 Secondary 3 students will be admitted into the
IP track, joining other IP students who were admitted at Secondary 1.

Hi for the ESIS award at Secondary - can I ask what is the ESIS cut off under the new system? Under old system was 261 - I checked the website but it does not say.
Thank you so so much
Extract from the website *************************************
Awarded to the top one-third of students admitted to independent schools by PSLE score.
Sec 1 - Students who meet the ESIS cut-off score and are admitted to independent schools under the Direct School Admission Exercise will also be offered the ESIS.
Students are awarded the ESIS for:
4 years, if they are in the O-Level programme.
6 years, if they are in the 6-year programme.
This is subject to their good progress and conduct each year. -

Pg 7 of this booklet for last year does show the example quite clearly but its not printed for this batch onwards
1 more noob on affiliation question. For schools that offer dual track IP and O levels e.g. catholic high (CHS), if the CHS primary student puts IP as 1st choice and O levels as 2nd choice, does his 2nd choice get the affiliated bonus points? From MOE websites, it seems affiliation COP only applies to 1st choice but I have read elsewhere that says it can be applied to 2nd choice if one puts IP as 1st choice of the same school. Appreciate any advice.
