      Hi Pandapanda,

Your daughter still need to take up a compulsory CCA in Cedar, because Social Innovation is a \"Leadership\" Talent development programme.
Social Innovation, is Not meant nor designed, to substitute any CCA whatsoever.
      Hi phtthp,

      hijack ur reply a bit
May I know where can I find this piece of information?
Reason being my girl is keen to DSA through Social Innovation and being a KS mum, I'm trying to find more information first.

      Thanks!

      hello,

I’m looking at cedar’s website for CCA schedule but unable to find Social Innovation.
Anyone has any idea which day is it normally held on?

      Thanks in advance!

a question here, hopefully to seek answer from here..

if child get a CO but PSLE result eventually did not score well enough for express stream, how will the placement be?

If the school does not have Normal stream, then the CO will be forfeited. Child will choose other schools based on Sec 1 Posting exercise.

      Thanks!

Holy molly, I can't make out if you are trying to promote or badmouth Xinmin, so you must be a real student giving feedback for your school! 😆 Well done. Your school must have left an impression on you... :hugs:

hahaha this one i do agree

      hello all,

      the 2019 timetable is out
would like to find out what is PRIDE in the timetable suppose to be doing. anyone can advise please?
      Thanks in advance

      Hi enne,

Sorry for the late reply! As stated in your question, PRIDE refers to \"Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort\". It is a slot scheduled during the recess time of all XMS school timetables. PRIDE was set up to help the obese students exercise more frequently and thus reducing the risk of future lifelong health issues, such as high blood cholesterol and high blood pressure. Selected students for PRIDE are expected to turn up for physical activities to help them control their eating habits.

      Thanks!

      Thanks a lot!!

      sky minecrafter:

Hello, adding on to fellow forummers' posts... iirc, the school did give a quick briefing (15min?) targeting parents. For instance: school hours, what to expect on the first day of school, orientation & start of lessons, selection tests (AEP, MEP, HMT), subjects taken in Sec 1, electronic gadget program, forms to be returned, Year Head contact... A more detailed session happens in the new school year.

My child handled his own uniforms, books & stationery purchases, administrative affairs; but to be there physically is a show of support for a new stage of their life.
      your child is very independent!
