Hi, this is my first time hiring an Indonesia maid. I had bought ferry tickets and hotel to bring my mother and maid to Batam for a night. I happened to hear from friends that my maid will be taxed at custom as is a holiday for her.

Is that true? Any one encounter that?
What paper documents should be done for maid before going to Batam so that she can come back without being fine/tax? Heard is a few hundred dollars…

We chosen Nan Chiau 1st choice, Chung cheng 2nd. We followed the child liking though affiliation JC is important in future. But i think she will be the one going to the school 4 years so her interest is the point.
Maybe friends will think we are ‘stupid’ but let it be. We trust everything will turn out well even she may not be able to take higher chinese in the end to have that bonus points in NC. Btw, we stayed in Punggol.

Don’t know whether to take risk in Nan Chiau if she can’t pass the test.

Hi, my child did not take higher chinese in primary school but I intend to let her take it in Nan chiau. Can i confirm those whose children in this school whether my child need to take a test before be allowed to study higher chinese?

Many parents find it difficult to understand why OT is important initally which is normal as the child’s `problem’ may not appear that early at their young age.

To me I strongly agreed that OT is very important for ASD children. I attended OT session in Rainbow Yishun before and the therapist has helped me to see OT from another angle. Same as ST. I had a very good experience with both OT and ST at Rainbow but both therapists no longer there.
