I was an ex-student of DHS. Love the school and would really like my boy to study there. However, due to concern of the LONG travelling time (we are staying in the west), we have decided to let him choose another school much nearer home. No regrets, especially for those days which he finishes CCA around 7pm, he is still able to reach home at about 7.30pm.

Hi! I wasn't in the table tennis team. One of my close friends was and a few of us would sometimes go watch her practise. The teacher-in-charge I think was 张中兴老师。

Haha... I didn't end up in TJ or VJ too, although 90% of my class went to those 2 JCs.

I find the names of the buildings in DHS very meaningful. Can you guys still remember them ?

is there a name for the old hall which was used by the table tennis team for practice ?

The history teacher is 廖月明老师。She was my Sec 2 Form teacher. Other than the times when she told us stories, I found the lesson quite dry. And during exam time, just 背背背！


There was another female Chem teacher - Mrs Lye. No-nonsense too.

So nice to hear all the fond memories of my seniors and juniors here about their teachers and the school. I heard that the 1968 batch had a huge gathering a few years back and they managed to invite many retired teachers. Well done!

My favourite teacher was 张丽贞老师。I enjoyed her Chinese lessons very much. Always got some kind of language games at the end of the lesson. That was when I picked up many 诗词和生字

All my Math teachers were females. That Math teacher you were talking about, is it Mr Tan Poey Kee ? I remember such a teacher but has forgotten what subject he taught.


I can still remember Tall Lim and Short Lim, both Physics teachers.

Yup, that BIG field that we had to run many rounds during PE lessons! I took Technical lessons too. Pity I had thrown away all the things I made during those technical lessons. Was telling my boy what I made but nothing to show him.
