Hi, I always believe in Read, Write and Speak in mastering languages.
I believe a lot of reading will help your child. Next is practice: doing assessment and write regularly. It will be good to write at least a composition a week. Encourage your child to keep a book to write new words he or she has learnt and use them in compositions. The more new words are used, the better your child would be at remembering the spelling.
There is no short cut but consistent effort goes a long way.
Readers' Digest and newspapers would be good for children in upper primary.
You may want to find out more about the syllabus here:

Perhaps this could help in selecting materials for your child
Hope this helps

RE: Music/Dance/Swimming class near Buangkok mrt
Hi, I think you can check out Sengkang CC. Think that's the nearest. There's Yamaha there and there should be other classes for childrent there. Alternatively, you can hire a home music teacher

RE: Has anyone genuinely lost their kid in a crowd before?
I was lost at least 1 time, that I remember of, when I was 6. More than 20 years ago. I remember strangers asking me where my parents were in English. At that time, from a Mandarin speaking family, my English was limited. I could understand them but could only reply in Mandarin \"I don't know.\" And then I stayed around the shop where I got lost. Finally my parents came back for me. I didn't cry. My parents didn't scold me too

It was my fault and the most unforgettable incident of me getting lost! -
RE: Ballet in NAFA vs SBA
My cousin dropped out Piano from NAFA. It’s too stressful… I think the system and style of teaching is like that… More gearing and drilling at NAFA… nothing against the school but I think the teaching style is more like that of China.
