nicnac:Will take a look at this school. Not familiar with its current location too. Thanks.
If you are looking for a less stressful school, then what about St.margaret’s? Take note that they will be moving to holding site at the current MacPherson Primary School in 2020. Affiliation to secondary school also and currently, the smps students need only an aggregate of 200 to secure a place in Express stream (while +/- 240 for non-affiliation).

Thanks for the advice. Will monitor the numbers.CHIJ Katong has advantage, due to affliation to Secondary school. On last day of Phase 2C, monitor closely. If you can enter CHIJ Katong without balloting, go ! But if need to ballot, enter Haig Girls #2 choice, because Haig Girls no affliation. Primary school wise : both are good
That is, if you are staying in the east.
If you stay in Queensway, then choose CHIJ Kellock, also a good school. -

Alternative for me is to select east side schools. Between haig girls and chij Katong, which would be better ?Eveeve12:
Would Haig Girls be more suitable for child who is not academically inclined?
you stay in the east ? can consider Haig Girls, CHIJ Katong primary. These two Girls' schools are much better than St Anthony Cannosian primary -

Thanks. Would Haig Girls be more suitable for child who is not academically inclined?
Yes. P1 stress level already way up high.
Please consider your other nearby options. RMPS has reputation of most stressful in that district. -

Thanks for quick response. Is homework a daily thing from p1 onwards?Eveeve12:
Any feedback on RMPS or info on changes in that school with the change in principal? Thanks.
I got a friend’s child in Radin Mas. Entered same year as the new principal, so she can’t comment on the difference.
The main thing is, RMPS gives a LOT of homework and academic standard is high. Tests are surprise tests, no date or warning given beforehand. If your child is average to below average, be prepared for lots of tears and to do extra coaching at home to keep up.
If child is less academic inclined, should I try other schools in this case? -
With the change in principal not sure, though, whether the school will continue to accept applications from SCs < 1 km only.
