1. For me, I will go for My First Skool. It is not the cheapest, but it is one of the cheapest. The other government related child care centre is cheaper, but it seems the service may not be that good.
2. I will also choose one that is closer to home or office.
3. a visit to the centre is a must to see the hygiene of the child care centre, how teachers handle students, how frequent they wash hand
4. You may want to refer to https://www.babyment.com/childcare/childcare-singapore.php?area=Jurong%20West for more information

RE: Baby's First Foods
When your baby is 6 months old, you can introduce solid food to him or her.
For us, we give rice soup, then some fruit Purée like apple pear and avocado purée.
You can refer to https://www.babyment.com/supplementary-food/baby-food.php for more recipes.
Wait for at least three days before you introduce new food to make sure your baby does not show any adverse reaction -
RE: Maid agency fee
From what I learn, the final amount of maid agency fee depends on a few factors such as nationality, service coverage.
For Filipino maid, the Philippine government are banning maid agency from charging maid high recruitment fee, this means the employer will need to pay maid agency a higher fee.
According to one survey, the maid agency fee for Filipino maid and Indonesian maid is $1250, but for Myanmar maid, the median maid agency cost is only $765. For those who are interested to know more about this survey, please click https://www.babyment.com/infantcare.php?infant=Maid-agency-fee to learn more.
For service coverage, some may not include insurance in the package, it is therefore important for us to check what has been covered in the package. -

RE: Call for http://singaporemaid.blogspot.com to be removed
Just a personal thought:
As different families has different requirement and different people have different standards of work, it is hard to say whether a maid is good or bad. The maid may be a good maid in one family but can be a good maid in another family.
Recently, I sent one https://www.babyment.com/maid/myanmar_maid.php back to agency. When the maid agency personnel asks me why: i told her that because the maid is not able to take care of children. The maid actually demonstrate a good standard in work such as hygiene. Maybe because of young and single, she cannot really mingle with children.
I went to employer orientation program a few years back. The instructor asked us about our expectation of maid, the long list is something like this: cheerful, energetic, polite, high standard of work..........
Think about it, what do you expect from a person who you may about $1000 (salary plus other expenditure), whether they are https://www.babyment.com/maid/filipino_maid.php or https://www.babyment.com/maid/indonesian_maid.php. -

RE: Alleged Child Abuses at Two Childcare Centres
Recently, there were two cases of alleged child abuses at two childcare centres, one was first reported in Facebook Group \"Childcare in Singapore\", the other one was circulated around first in App Wechat.
As a parent of three, it is very sad and disheartening to see it happen in Singapore(Please note that police investigation is still ongoing). You may want to visit this Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/541425542723577/ for details.
