sigh i just came back from my interview i think i screwed it up…

i’m not a good speaker so yeah.

for my case they didn’t look at any portfolios or things.
they only referred to my appeal letter.

it depends on your choice to prepare or not.
sometimes it may not be a good thing to prepare since you may be too nervous during the interview and you forget what you prepared and you’ll be stumbling to remember what you have prepared, but it would be a help if you practise TALKING to someone like an interviewer, but not prepare for the questions. If you’re shy like me you have to really get over it and be more friendly and talk more…

take note of what you wrote on your appeal letter.
they’ll ask you things about what you wrote.
also, read up on the school.
they would be asking things like why you like the school…
my case was different, kind of
they only asked a few "typical" questions, like why do you like our school etc.

they kept asking me a lot of questions (probably because i don’t talk that much )
and for my case they continued asking questions from my answers.
they asked many questions i didn’t anticipate and they were rather hard to answer
depends on the school or your interviewer actually…

For my case, S1 posting was released on 21 Dec Wed. I submitted appeal online at about 11am. At 2pm, received a call from RGS to remind me don't forget to bring the print out of 6 choice of schools option form. I submitted my dd whole life of achievements on 22 Dec before 2pm.

i guess my dad went there before they called us or before 2pm....
wasted trip!

I don't think having a sister in the school plays a big role in an appeal. If anything, I'm thinking your giving up the Math test probably played a part in your rejection.

btw, which schools did you put as your 6 choices?

Agree. Am quite sure having a sibling doesnt help in appeal

it's just my own opinion.
another of my classmate has the same aggregate as me and she has also appealed to RGS, but she didn't get a reply back either, compared to my other friend who has an aggregate lower than 250, but has a sister.

nope, not all schools. RGS doesn't, if i'm not wrong.

i got 257 +2, got posted to RV, third choice, and i got jap for my third lang. Appealed to RGS and NUS High, i think i’m rejected by RGS? , called up/emailed for interview for NUS High tomorrow.
