    • RE: Would you pay for university fees of your kids?

i have called in to CPF hotline to ask about this before cos one of my relatives just graduated and they feel that every month returning $400 to CPF is really expensive. :imdrowning: it is just like drowning the whole family. just imagine when 3 kids graduate and all 3 have to pay similar amount into CPF as cash, how to save for their weeding?

the hotline staff at CPF told me that in order for the waiver to kick in and payment to stop, the parent must be 55 years old and above before they can fill in a form to apply.

How do you know if the policy is good? Sometimes there's so much fine print and the agent just want to push what they have. I try my best to ask around but sometimes it's not so clear cut..

i think when it comes to which one is good, it is really very hard to say. but i think if you have found a good and committed agent then in that case, there is nothing much to worry about. my insurance is handled by my friend that i trust a lot. when i kana any kind of accident i'll call her and she will bring the forms down for me to sign and process the claims for me immediately. the last claim i did was for food poisoning and it was paid within 2 weeks. if you want to know a good agent to help you look after your family, you let me know 😄

I prefer to see the guaranteed amt than projected.

since that is the case, why not do a savings plan rather then an investment where returns are more guaranteed? an investment will keep you on your toes the whole time...

    • RE: Home contents insurance coverage

I have this insurance too. Just to be safe rather than sorry.

Actually I would suggest for you to speak to an agent rather then follow a brochure and read from it. Cos brochures are usually very brief only. If you wan, I have a great agent that I can recommend to you. She has been in this line for more than 19 years and she did both my family’s and my friend’s insurance too. She is dedicated and not pushy and her product knowledge is the best. So if you need a referral just let me know.
