Hi hi thank you for the reply.

Mindset, people call RJ, how abt RGS? is it the mindset they call themselves RG or RGS?

      Heyy!

RG is like a short form of RGS when people are lazy to say that one more syllable πŸ˜„ much like how some people say SC instead of SCGS, and SN instead of St Nicks, or SJ instead of SJI. etc etc. a very different matter with regards to the RI and RJ thing. πŸ™‚

RJC the uniform for girls is white blouse and green skirt, isn't it?

Is it a mandatory to stay in the hostel for a year?

Don't think there is space for local girls in the hostel. They are meant for foreign scholars.

nope! that's not true! you can still apply even if you're local. I have a local friend who is staying in the hostel, but the fees are quite expensive, really not worth it if you're local. (though i must say that the cutting down of traveling time is pretty helpful).

      yes! white blouse green skirt!
No, it's not mandatory under wtv reasons to stay in the school hostel.

PS. (referring to an earlier message) many in my batch still prefer - and are used to- calling it RJ, we feel belonged to RJ then RI. no idea why, just a mindset prob i guess, haha! xD

      Pen88n:
KSP and Bubble Tea!! Esp. KOI...........their pearls are just nice (right size and texture), grass jelly not too soft, milk tea (with 50% or 70% sugar) not too sweet, and milk taste more fresh......

So far after I've tried KOI, I stopped going to Sweet Talk, Cup Walker, Each A Cup. Gong Cha herbal jelly milk tea is also quite good.......

Other fav are sashimi, cantonese soup, steamboat, books.......in love with too many things, and I live to enjoy these things
I LOVE GONG CHA's AND KOI's HONEY MILK TEA, and they are the only two bubble tea shops where i ask for pearls in the drink cos they're really good.

Sweettalk really disappoints me though, it's either their quality went down (cos i use to drink it alot), or my expectations for bubble tea standards went up haha πŸ˜„

Cup walker and each a cup is still pretty reasonable. but i hate the honey milk tea from cup walker, threw 3/4 of the drink away cos i couldnt take it. but i like their milk tea stuff in general. AND the oreo drinks from each a cup is (Y) too hehe.

      BUBBLE TEA ftw.

I went back to RGS today for Guides Camp, just wanted to share a lil bit of my reflections here.

This is the very first time i walked into RGS, without the need to think of whether my homework for the day is done, or is there any projects that’s supposed to be completed etc. Without all the stress and distractions, i could finally β€˜feel’ alot more clearly, the kind of place RGS is.

I felt so nostalgic there, really missed the homely and cosy feeling that RGS-- the school, the people-- gives, it’s something that you wont be able to get in touch with in RJC.

So to all the current RG girls out there, cherish the years in RGS, dont keep complaining about all the mugging and work. it’s your responsibility to make your own RGS journey a fruitful, eventful and meaningful one. So that when you think back, you wont be saying how you regret having done or not done something.

JIAYOU and Have fun! work hard and play hard. πŸ™‚

    • RE: At what age yr child should start dating?

      insider:
      sleepy:

Going on 1 to 1 dates allow you to know a person better. And please date a few boys, not just one. It's during the process you slowly discover what type of personalities suits you. Even if you do not find anyone suitable, at the very least you discover the characteristics you do not want.

Of course must exercise caution. Don't continue to accept single dates from boys if they really stand no chance. Don't lead them on or send wrong message la.

Errr... \"please date a few boys, not just one.\"?

For me, I can't accept this kind of 'dating'. 1-to-1 dating is something serious and if a girl does not like a boy well enough, then she should not accept a 1-to-1 date with him. 1-to-1 dating connotes some kind of 'intention' to go 'steady' and if without such 'intention', should not go out solo. I too conservative???

Also for me, no multiple 1-to-1 datings at the same time else it is flirtatious in my interpretation (how can a boy who is dating my girl also is dating someone else at the same time??).

Whether my girl or boy, they cannot anyhow date 1-to-1 unless they have the 'intention'. Group outing is the best for teenagers. In a group, get a feel of that someone then if find him/her worth exploring further, then go 1-to-1...

PS: My daughter has a boy classmate, doing multiple single dating at the same time with a few girl classmates. The outcome is disastrous... (the girls talked among themselves and the boy is being crowned a 'playboy'...)

hey hey! actually, i think SLEEPY didnt mean it the way you(INSIDER) interpreted it πŸ˜„ i think it was suppose to be, \"dont be afraid to have subsequent dates if the previous ones failed.\" and not \"have multiple dates at once\".

      Hi fatal-illuxions,

You means last time RGS school timing more longer?

I go thru my DD student handbook, found out some useful info abt school. ( I should have read earlier) πŸ˜„
YUPP. i love my sec one timetable the best. 3 early days at 1.40pm, and 2 late days at 2.10pm. and we have one block of recess.

Sec2 - sec4 was 2 early days at 1.10pm with one recess block. and 3 late days at 2.50pm with one recess and one lunch block in between.

though i really would prefer to end school early. but OH WELL. tough luck πŸ™‚
