Hi Zoe,
I think you should just enrol your daughter for 1 term (3 months) which cost $176. If she is enjoying it for the 3 months, continue. If not, just tell them you wish to stop. Nothing is lost. No me, trail lesson is not indicative. What’s important is the friendship your child build with other kids and the bond she foster with her ballet teacher that decide if she enjoys it. As much as we like to think that it is the ballet that keeps them there, it is really the friendship. The learning is just happen to the outcome. My daughter has been learning at the woodland branch for more than 2 years and she is sitting for the primary level exam next week.
Recently, I am very displease with the school. My daughter had an accident during the class. We didn’t know the severity at first. After the class, my daughter told me she was bleeding when she goes to the toilet. She was subsequently hosiptalised.
I wrote to inform the school about the accident and pointed out the safety issue in the dance studio and recommended they take action to remove the danger. After 3 weeks, the thing is still there. No action taken. I’m very upset over it, not just because of my daughter’s injury, but they are not taking the danger out. It is riskying other children.
