Yeah, I agree...my friend's wife called the school to register for the chat session but the line was busy. So, she sent email to West Spring Pr and left her hp no for them to return her call. She then received the call on the same day. Well done!

I read form this forum and see West Spring Pri seems like a rising star. Actually I am decided to go to West Spring, they look like very fast to reply us. I like the idea of play and learn, like very diffrent and got some character like that. Also, many people in this forum also look like very curious about West Spring.

Yup, im actually surprised by the feedbacks from parents on a new school. I had thought that most parents might prefer schools with academic and CCA records.

wld like to know more on below queries during the chat session.

      1) programmes for PERI initiatives
      2) play-based learning approach (how it will help the child and the types of play-based learning approach that will be use)
      3) what type of ccas will west spring start with in pri 3? (am i too early to ask?)
      4) are the teachers into full time teaching? (sorry to ask but i do know some new/old schools started off with trainee teachers or part time teachers for lower pri till the sch has found replacement).
      5) whether will there be any chance of setting up school based student care and also on school bus.

      thanks alot!
Yes. Those are my concerns too.
I had initially decided on Greenridge Pri but when I heard about the play based learning approach and SCC proposal in West Spring, I changed my mind. As a divorced mum, I need to place my son in SCC but instead of outside of school, I prefer one that is within school.
I had read from forums that new schools tend to have high turnover of teachers. I might be wrong but its good to know since our children is new to the primary school syllabus and if they have to adapt to new teachers after a while, they might be confused.

West Spring will do a survey before deciding to have any student care service according to the website. You can find a lot of details from the website Q&A section. As for the open house I don't think the building will be ready.

      Thanks LFC4ever!
I read a lot from the FAQ in the website too. I emailed them on the open house but has yet to get a reply though.

 New info: West Spring Primary School

The website going be up with more information, brochures to at BP library and CC. If your kiddos are in nearby kindergartens/student cares, they receive brochures.

I must say I kind of more or less going to try West Spring. New facilities and small population. Only P1. Just focus on P1 in 2014, with Play and Learn in the school. Seems like a good bet.
      Hi Kenny Chin!

I saw the website for West Spring. I thought I would like to try for it too as I like their learning approach and also that they are looking at in school student care. I would prefer a school student care centre rather than one that is situated outside of school.

I hope they will have a Open House soon.

      Hello everyone here! 🙂

I have been member since a year back when my son was in nursery and had gotten valuable informations from all here.
And now its time for my son to register for P1 next year. After reading through the forums, I realised that it is indeed a lot of \"work\" just registering for primary sch education. I thought it wasn't as tiring for my mum when I registered for P1 20 over years back. Hahaha
