Hi, A couple of questions here.

1. China Studies in English (H1)- Any feedback about the subject taught in MI? How was the past A level results in MI for this subject compared with Econs?
2. Which science subject to take for H2- Physics or Chem? DS’ both sciences got "C" at O levels. Both Math got "A".
3. When he reports to school on Friday, does he buy uniforms and PE attire ? How many PE days per week in general? Wondering how many sets to buy and how much cash to give him.

My DS took his on 18 March and I received his online results and ABRSM email after 2pm today.

Their last day of school was not long ago on 18 Nov . So I will let them enjoy their last precious week of play.

Affiliation works only if you put maris stella as 1st choice.
Base on past year COP for Maris Stella, with 244, you may not need to use affiliation to go in. Hence you may consider to put Maris as your 2nd or 3rd choice, and put SJI 1st choice.. Cath high may be a bit stretch. IMHO.

All 3 schools are affiliated to CJC. You may wish to consider a secondary school affiliated to a \"higher ranked\" JC as the 2 affiliation bonus points are helpful when come to choice of JC at the end of his O levels. That being said, everything bores down to the child. No matter how good the school is, the child's results depend on whether he /she is independent, motivated, hardworking or not.

Hi we tried to take my son's photo using a phone app for passport photos . We submitted to ICA and it was accepted

1. Follow the instructions given on the ica website before you take photo. eg make sure no shadow; take against a white or off white background.
2. For iphone, we downloaded\" IC Photo for Singapore NRIC and passports\" app. For android, there is \"Passport ID photo maker studio\".
3. After taking the photo, we used Photoshop Express for IOS to touch up eg brighten certain parts of the photo .
4. You need to try a few times till you are satisfied with the end product before you submit the final product to ICA . We submitted 2 photos , just in case one is rejected.
No need to spend money to take the passport photos. :rahrah:

Anyone can recommend any O level Eng assessmnt books which are according the new O level syllabus?
