    • RE: Q&A - PSLE Math

Hi , pls help on the below .

The ratio of Alvin’s savings to Bernard’s savings was 3:11 after
Alvin gave 1/10 of his savings to Bernard . Both later spent the
Same amount of money at a book fair . In the end, the ratio of Alvin’s
Savings to Bernard’s savings became 1:9 and Bernard had $264
      More than Alvin .

      A) what was the ratio of Alvin’s savings to
      Bernard’s savings at first ?
      B) how much savings did Alvin had at first ?

      Thanks & Regards

Hi , pls help on the below question.

Mrs Wendy had some banana muffins , chocolate muffins and vanilla muffins.
She had 260 more vanilla muffins than chocolate muffins.
She sold 60% of the banana muffins , 2/3 of the chocolate muffins and 3 times
As many vanilla muffins as chocolate muffins. Thereafter, she took stock and
Found that she had 25% of her vanilla muffins left . The total number of the 3types
      Of muffins became 212.

Find the total number of muffins she had at first ?

      Thanks and regards

Hi , pls help on the below question .

Diana had 200 coins in her coin box. There were only 10-cents,20-cents and 50cents coins. First she
Replaced all her 20-cent coins with 50-cent coins of the same value
And there were 146 coins in the box. Then she replaced all her 10-cent coins with 50-cent coins
Of the same value and there were 66 coins left in the box. How many 50-cent coins were there
In the box at first ?

      Thanks very much !
