At the moment, CHIJ TPY looks likely to go to the ballot within 1-2km but this may change depending on the outcome of the tomorrow’s registration

CHIJ TPY as at 4pm oversubscribed 54 registered for 45 places…

I’ve just discovered that if there are only 50 places left after phase 2A2, 2B will only have 45 places up for grabs! (50+40 reserved for 2B &2C ÷2) All along I was under the impression that the 50 places would be carried forward into 2B plus the 20 places reserved, making it 70… sigh and I thought I was thoroughly prepared!

Good luck people on getting into your choice schools… Reading this thread has raised my blood pressure a notch or two… And we’ll only be registering next year… I hope I don’t faint when my time comes around. Cheers!

i am really keen to get my girl (2009) into my ala mater (good counsel) but my husband is not happy as the school bus trip will be long, since we are staying in punggol. plus my boy is a dragon baby so not having a sibling and the birth spike will likely be a big problem come his time. i would like to send my children to missionary schools if i can help it, even if my husband is keen to send my girl to a co-ed school. holy innocent fits his criteria, co-ed, near, good school and for me, missionary but it is so hard to get in... any thoughts, anyone? need fresh minds and train of thots to provide new perspectives.

You know what it was like studying, growing up and making life long friends in chij. I come from a mission school and the boys I grew up with from P1 are still my good friends (it's been almost 40 years)... I'm sure you you know what I'm talking about. The spirit and bonding is priceless and I for one intend to get my one and only dd born in 2009 into chij nativity. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Hi all, my dd is due for registration in p1 in 2016 and I’ve been silently reading the various threads for months now. We’ve made some decisions based on what I’ve read and I’d like to confirm our assumptions.


Although the girls in my family, sister, mom, aunties have all gone to one of the chij schools, my wife did not and therefore phase 2a doesn’t apply.

We are Catholics so we should fall under phase 2b and we are planning to move to hougang, within 1km of chij oln, later this year so our chances of getting in should be better. There is no need for pv.

We are enrolling our dd into nativity kindergarten for k1 next year.

We are hoping these factors will be key in getting dd into oln. Are our assumptions correct? Do we or can we do any more to increase dd chances of getting into oln?
