My DS just joined TA this year. So far (2 weeks old;-)) she is very happy and mentioned that all her teachers are very good, knowledge wise , passion and teaching method. She can finally see the difference between a JC Teacher and a secondary school teacher now. The progtramme is also rigorous, chinese test every Friday and homeworks and project starting to come in...

She enjoyed her orientation and the vibrancy of the JC and classmates are an eye opener to her.

On the downside from parent perspective, the school is not so strict as they treat you as little adult. I guess we have to keep an eye on DS in case she can manage the sudden freedom..

Overall, no regrets.

my ds in yr 2. Her home work starting to get a lot. Also more projects. Before this, workload was lighter and she cld hv time to relax.

She told me they are learning sec 3 syllables in other school.

agreed DHS will get better. DHS will not and cannot fail


Recently I noticed my child’s homework and learning are getting more vigorous. Not sure whether related to the new principal. The principal told some parents he is confident DHS will do well under his leadership

Agreed. That was what my DS said abt DHS wushu! There is a Chinese Cultural performance coming up at Esplanade.

CO is their champs cca. They are good. I going for the string ensemble.

My ds told me she was watched the kaleidoscope opening yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it . Esp the wushu. This month will hv a series of cultural events. Do catch it if u can. I already bought some tickets.

I hv heard a few times already DHS chem n physic teachers are not up to par. Is it true? DHS used to be very strong in these subjects

I heard current RVHS Principal was former Principal of Hwa Chong JC. They look more academic inclined than DHS
