For my son's sch, students are allowed to substitute the GPA for 3rd lang to replace a subj he didn't do so well in - maybe geog or history (except 4 core subj eng, chinese, math and sci cannot be replaced). But i'm not sure if this applies to all sch.

My son's school, top score is 277.
the national top is 285, so it might be your daughter's school.
