Thanks for the reply…so there is no use to go to MOE for appeal. I agree with you its a stressful situation for my family. I may have to send my kids back to India if I cannot get admission in school here…

How can Singapore Government expect foreigners to work here when they cannot provide basic right of education to their children? Not everyone can afford to put their child in Private schools. They should make cheaper options available.

I am left with no choice but to try AEIS for P2. Its not going to be easy either. Anyone knows where I can find syllabus for AEIS and how I can prepare my child for the exam?

I am a foreigner working in Singapore. I registered my daughter for P1 under Phase 3. Though the official result for Phase 3 is on 30th Nov 2015, I already got a rejection letter from MOE saying they cannot offer admission to my daughter due to not enough vacancies…

I cannot afford to admit my daughter in an International school. My daughter does not have DP so she needs to get a Student’s pass if she gets admission in any schools.

I am really heartbroken but I don’t want to leave out any options…I have read few cases where parents have personally gone to MOE and appealed. (Though the letter from MOE says its a final decision and appeal cannot be done). Does anyone here have such experience where their child was granted admission in P1 after appealing to MOE?

I really want to try to appeal to MOE but not sure if it will be of any use. I would appreciate if you share your opinions and experiences.

Any idea about the primary schools in Queenstown neighbourhood? Out of Fairfield Methodist, New Town Primary and Queenstown primary; I am considering Queenstown primary for my child as its nearest to my place of residence.
Any reviews about this school?

Hi I am a foreigner working in Singapore. My daughter is eligible for P1 registration in phase 3 this year(Jan 2016). I have few questions and concerns about the registration procedure.


1. My daughter doesn’t have a DP and we are planning to apply for a Student’s Pass for her. I have looked up the MOE and ICA website for details but I am still confused how to go about it. Do I need to secure an admission in the school first to apply for the Student pass? Can someone help me get more information about this?

2. My husband is not yet working in Singapore. He will start working in Singapore at the end of the year (Dec 2015). Does that disqualify my child for P1 admission exercise if she is intending to study in Singapore on Student Pass?

3. My daughter’s immunisation was done in India. How can I get the immunisation certificate for her from National Immunisation Registry?
