Any of your child can recall Q15 of Paper 1, the question on buying some apples and pears? What is the answer? 14, 16 or something else? Thanks.

    • RE: Q&A - P5 Math

Hi all, need help for this question.

David took out all the coins in his piggy bank. They were made up of only twenty and fifty-cent coins. There were 12 fifty-cent coins more than twenty-cent coins. The total value of the fifty-cent coins was $21 more than the total value of the twenty cent coins. Find

      a) the number of fifty-cent coins in David’s piggy bank
      b) the total value of the coins David had.

Can anyone help to draw the model for this question and explain your answers. It seems confusing to me.

      Thanks.

      Hi all,

Can someone help answer this question with model?

Last month, Farmer Chan had 840 fish in his fish farm. 1/3 of the fish were catfish and the rest tilapia. This month, he bought some catfish such that, in the end, 5/9 of the fish were tilapia.
      a) how many tilapia were there in his farm?
      b) how many catfish did he buy?
      Thanks.
