Dear EHIH,
I also have an older daughter and then sons but I chose CHIJ for the values based education. Their speech and drama and other CCA’s are also of good quality. There are girls who are very good at academics and the school then caters to their talents and abilities. This has been my experience.

What works for us is that the school focuses on imparting values to the girls which are in line with our own personal values. Academics is secondary.

My daughter and I are extremely pleased with our decision to put her in CHIJ. She is in P2 and her teachers so far have been excellent. I like that the school balances academics and extra-curruculars.

No. I believe those are marked as optional. If I remember correctly last year they gave us a book list at the orientation and these items weren’t on it. For sure I didn’t buy them as I had them already and so could use from what we already had instead of buying.

i would recommend atleast 2 sets of uniform. My daughter was in P1 this year and she had PE on Tues, Wed & Thu. Also the Pinafore is to be worn everyday.

RE: All About Autism
hi, I am not a parent of an autistic child but I volunteer at church to teach catechism - and I 30 children 2 of whom are autistic. Any tips on how I may engage them without neglecting the others. I have co-volunteers so we could split the attention but don’t want to make them feel they are being treated differently. They are P3 kids and wonderful boys.
