Basically, portfolio interview is individual art form interview with 2 teachers, panel interview is a group (around 6) interview with 3 academic teachers.

Any idea how is the panel interview conducted and what type of questions are being asked?

      Hi,

Is your P3 class at Parkway Sat 9.15am confirmed? I'd like to also place my P1 girl for the same timing if you are able to open a P1 class too. Thanks!

      Hi genmai,

Yes the P3 class is confirmed. Sorry but there is currently no P1 class at the same timing.

      TAS

      Hi TAS,

Can I just pop by parkway or any centre to register and make payment?

Saw in earlier post others asking for P1 class at Parkway Sat 9.15am as well. Will you consider opening a class if there's enough students? Really wish to send both my kids at the same time.

But would you all want to take the chance. 不怕一万,只怕万一 .

What about a spouse who shares the same surname as your mum?

      Agree with AC_Power.

Guess it also depends on how common/unique the surname is and where the forefathers came from. China? Taiwan? Which province? Same dialect group?

There are many married couples with same surnames especially if they are common ones like Tan and Lim. With numerous generations before us, there’s no guarantee there’s no distant relations between chinese spouses even if the surnames are different.

    • RE: Children's Ice Cream workshop, anyone tried before or keen?

      fluffylicious,

I signed up my 2 kids, in the end only one attended. The younger one don't want to be left alone and cried. They were strict that no parent remain in the workshop (I guess they want us to be outside listening to their sale pitch) so I was asked to bring her out of the room to prevent interrupting the workshop. The elder one stayed and said she enjoyed eating the ice-cream (abeit a little salty).

      blueblue,
If I dun recall wrongly, there are around 16 seats in the workshop.

They are a publishing house and they have roughly as many salesperson as the no. of seats in the workshop. You'll get personal attention while waiting. 😉

Brought my kids there before. Be prepared for some hard selling when your kiddos are in the workshop and you have nowhere to go but to wait for their workshop to end.

About hongkong, we went hongkong for hoilday few years back. I personally feel the HONGKONG custom officer is VERY ON. When we are at the custom, both going into Hongkong and back to Singapore. When they are chopping the passport of my kids, they asked my kids. \"Who is she?\" I am standing beside them. When they answered \"MOMMY\" they chop and let them go.

Yes, I encountered this last year at HK customs too. They first asked my dd for her name, and then asked who I am. Only after answering then we can proceed.
