We have finally gotten our S1-Posting results and I'm extremely happy to be posted to NJC Tomorrow is when I will have to visit the school to register, is there anything in particular that I should bring along? Thanks!

Congrats to your good result. Welcome to njc as believe your score virtually can enter.
DS chose njc over r n h family even though he qualify as he felt peer pressure n very competitive over these two top schools. In njc, he has some chance for some programs like accelerated maths which he top maths in his class. He also can continue jap third language as still can manage. Most important he likes the boarding program n mixed gender environment.

Sorry for boarding financial assistance , I have no idea for non Singaporeans

There is a financial assistance scheme, but I do not know whether it is applicable to non-Singaporeans.

Hi Parents

Can anyone share with me if our girls are assigned to their classes in primary 3 according to their primary 2 results?
Will students be allocated to their classes based on their academic results?

Starting from Primary 3, pupils will be streamed according to their results only for two classes. For the top 40 +/- in the level, these pupils will be allocated to Humility. For next top 40 in the level, they will be allocated into Compassion. Those pupils who show outastanding potential in sports will be allocated into Gratitude alongside with mixed-ability pupils. The rest of the classes are put into randomly, however, the school tries their best to keep everyone in the same class until p6. I myself has been in Humility from p3 all the way to p6 prior to graduating this year. Hope this helped

Or only Catholic baptised children can attend?

Anyone can attend CVE! It's a very heartwarming period, usually on Wednesdays just before the school day comes to a close. Even if you are not a baptised Catholic, it's a very refreshing experience and all the Catechists are very friendly and engaging!

hi there, i am a graduating p6 student and i have sent in my S1 options with njc as my first choice after much consideration. the truth is that i had not considered njc prior to receiving my PSLE results since i did not expect to get such a high score i can proudly say that i topped my cohort for this year's psle with a score of 267 now, you may be wondering why i did not consider independent/sap schools. the fact is that i am a non-singaporean and non-pr and the fees that independent schools are asking for are a little bit too much on my parent's pockets. and, i do not take a mother tongue, so i cannot enter a sap school as well.


i've been reading up on njc a lot lately and by the help of several seniors who graduated marymount convent (my school) to enter into njc, i was confident about making my decision. i trust that i have made the right decision, although i'm still quite nervous that i would not get admitted :scratchhead:

i was just wondering how the boarding programme would turn out and if there are any financial assistance schemes for foreigners since the fees for boarding can reach up to $2000 for non-singaporeans! this is a concern because, although my family is very \"rich\" in terms of how closely-knit we are money is definitely something different to talk about. :moneyflies:
