RE: is it possible to make Maths enjoyable?
whoa, takes a miracle for some kids man. Couple of times my son would tell me that he loves maths now, but always turned out to be saying it just to make me feel happy. Did quite ok for his PSLE maths, but still hates it.

‘Reality’ is often altered by one’s perception.EllieK:
I tried transferring my girl, no luck. Must either be very good academically, or if you're some big shot.... or maybe make a significant donation...
Heard things like these as well, I think things like these were definitely a reality awhile back, maybe now not so much though?
If you are transferring to the least popular schools, I’m sure there will be places available quite readily. If you are looking at the most popular schools, I’m sure the waiting list is extremely long and they won’t have any vacancy if no one’s transferring out.
She must be talking about those harder to get into schools. Also curious though, are all these 'conspiracies' actually real? Or just created by sore parents? Are our schools really that corrupt? I mean I've heard a story about a reputable school, a parent donated some antiques to display, and transferred the boy into the school. Not sure if any had anything to do with each other? -
RE: Dog adopting improve family relationships
Had a dog when I was younger… indeed the cost of having a dog has gone up! Owners nowadays are willing to spend so much on their dogs, so service providers think they can charge higher now! Scary. That’s why whenever my kids ask for a dog sadly I have to say no.

RE: Which laptop for JC use
Macbook airs are very lightweight, easy to use, but a bit more expensive. I know of many JC students who are using macbooks currently

RE: Disposing old laptop / phones / drives
Have a friend in the industry, we talked about this once, usually if you give to the karang guni they just sell the parts, Firstly, retrieving the data from either the parts or the whole device can be very time consuming, so people most likely will just either erase whatever is on the disc rather than looking through everything,
Secondly, they don’t know who the device came from so unless you give them a phone or computer without even doing a factory reset, nobody is going to bother trying to dig through.
