Are there any mainstream students in the GEP classes mentioned above ( 103, 111, 112)? What is the cut off point of MS students who enter such GEP classes this year?

Besides Geppers, some HMP or AEP gals from MS. Not sure COP thou :?

For comparison sake 2017 Sec 1:

      101-majority AEP
      103-GEP/AEP
      105/6-majority sports
      109-majority HMP
      111-GEP/HMP
      112-GEP/HA

Any observations on how things have changed?

I understand still the same, ie random allocation of non dsa students while dsa are grouped according to each category. Not sure about GEP though likely to be grouped in a few classes for ease of mgt.

DD senior told her that 103 is bilingual, 111 GEP/HMP, 112 GEP/AEP. :imanangel:

From the Sec 1 allocation class list- judging from dd's school mates who DSA & via Sec 1 Posting, & through other friends: seemed like this year the class formed are all randomly mixed. That means no specify SBGE class for the GEP; no grouping of same DSA domain together; & DSA via sports are also grouping with min. 2 together in the same class.

Although not so obvious, but when we listed down the individual class, we realized that there's quite a number of same schools grouped together in 1 class - e.g. Class 103 & Class 104 - GEP-schools like Nanhua, Tao Nan in Class 104; Rosyth in Class 103; & most of the gals who DSAed via Bilingual were also in this 2 classes; & then like 1-2 fm NYPS & RGPS. But there is very obvious numbers of students fm NYPS (think like 9?) in class 106 - some parents were saying maybe they based on affliates mark of 250 & grouped them in this class 106 (Maybe/?? Not sure too)

But I doubt the P will really announce how the school allocate the students today (It's for us parents to find out usually).

Anyway, this is the beginning chapter of learning journey for our gals in NYGH & I don't think it really matter much how the class is allocated. Even if it's specific domain or randomly mixed - they will be taking the same exam together for the next 2 yrs before they stream again in end Sec 2. As far as I perceive - all the students in NYGH are talented in one way or another, that's why they are here at NYGH..^-^ ^-^ ^-^ :rahrah:

Any idea how this year classes arranged

I heard the form class is random, with some classes holding single category of DSA. Example sports DSA are in a class, mixed with other students. Though not verified.[/quote] šŸ˜„ Thank you. Is there any info. on GEP/AEP/HMP classes, if not hopefully today TPM will have some announcement.

Heard that the academic performance of Woodgrove Pri Sch has dropped. Anyone knows the reason?

According to ChannelEducation Primary School Ranking 2010, the best primary schools in Woodlands are Woodlands Pri Sch and Woodlands Ring Pri Sch. http://www.channeleducation.com.sg/2010-Primary-Schools-Ranking-in-Singapore.php

Understand that Admiralty Pri Sch and Evergreen Pri Sch are very popular in Woodlands. Why? Since their ranking is one grade lower as compared to Woodlands Pri Sch and Woodlands Ring Pri Sch. Anyone can share what are the strengths of Admiralty and Evergreen Pri Sch? Why are these two schools so popular in Woodlands? Balloting for <1km is needed since 2006.

Can anyone also share what are the strengths of Fuchun Pri Sch? Balloting for 1-2 km is needed since 2007.
Yes, oso intersted in knowing about Woodlands Ring Pr. VS Woodgroove Pri. Hope you can share??
