    • RE: Frustrated!!-Fresh , Ex-Sin ,transfer-maid or overseas-maid?

I had tried many helper from different countries to take care of my elderly mum. So far only Indo maid fit into my criteria as my mum cant speak english and speak very little mandarin.

Had 2 Myamma maid (ex-sg) previously- stubborn, do things the way they like and don’t like to follow instructions. Not willing to speak dialects to my mum, keep talking to her in English. (during interview, we noticed they could speak little bit of dialects). Sent them back to agent after 3 weeks

Had 1 from Cambodia (ex-sg - transferred) - agent said she can cook very well and able to speak english, mandarin, malay, hokkien. During interview, tested her hokkien, not too bad. However, similar attitude as the previous 2 Myamma helper. Hot temper and has tenancy of self-harm. She took 3 hrs to cook 1 simple dinner for 4 adults. Mess up the kitchen! - sent her back HOME after 3 months.

In the end, we stick back to Indo maid. The main problem with Indo maid were food handling and also language barrier, we need to speak slow, words by words, not in full sentence.

So whether fresh, ex-SG or experienced maid, it really your luck!
