      Peony:
These two areas are their strength. They instill discipline through values - in very positive ways, emphasising on feelings.

They are taught to be other-centred and this also forms the culture of the school. When prefects are interviewed (I know coz DD when thru it), they are also asked questions pertaining to values.

There are two major awards given to the P6-ers. One is for overall achievement (results, character etc.) and the other is solely for character - giving, kind etc. Thus throughout their primary school years, the value of giving, kindness, giving, etc. are emphasised and rewarded.

As to how they discipline \"wrong\" behaviour... it's not through \"harsh\" punishment. Mainly through positive reinforcement. If one child \"hurts\" another, she has to apologise, and the other has to forgive. I don't have any personal issues to gripe about.

There are the few \"naughtier\" ones, the teacher will reprimand whenever they are naughty but DD has not encountered out of hand situations. Teachers will call parents to give the necessary feedback.

That's great! What you have just mentioned is very reassuring and confirms my decision. Thanks a lot Peony.

Do you have specifiec areas of concern?
Thanks Peony! Guess my main concern is how the school instil discipline and values to the girls.

      Glad your girl enjoys school!

      Thanks

Hi there! Would like some of your advice and tips since your daughters are in SACP. My daughter will be entering P1 in 2013 and I am still considering between Red Swastika or SACP and I live <1 KM from both these schools but will be in Phase 2C for both. Just like to hear your thoughts about SACP and their teachers. Do your girls enjoy school?

      Thanks!!!
