RE: Childcare centres that accomodate special needs kids
Karenthk, are you following up in KKH? Is your child in EIPIC? Can ask your doctor to recommend your child for ICCP? cos ICCP waitlist is quite long.
How "difficult" is your child? cos if not too difficult, the school should be able to take them in. my son has behavioural problems and need more attention in class. his childcare cannot handle his needs becos they have just enough manpower to handle the standard classroom size. they cannot attend to my boy only and neglect the other kids. haiz… im so sick and tired of them telling me this.
Punggol there is one cc that takes in special needs kids, Little Mighty Me. can call them up to check but currently they are full. -
RE: All About (Global) Development Delays
Hi all,
My almost 3yo son was diagnosed with GDD at KKH last year. He will be finally going into EIPIC this July. But i have one big headache now. His childcare center is trying to get us to pull him out. His ICCP waitlist is still unknown and the SGenable coodinator told me the waitlist is almost a yr. Thus i need to find another childcare center for him.
He is (very) slow in his learning and has yet to speak, abit of behavioural issue too. Do you all know any mainstream childcare centers that are ok to take in kids with learning difficulties? TIA -
RE: Childcare centres that accomodate special needs kids
Hi all,
I would like to ask which are the childcare centers that can accommodate special needs kids, without having a shadow teacher (other than those centers under ICCP)? I have just put my son’s name in the waiting list and now waiting them to call me to advice on the expected wait time. But I understand from SGenable that the waitlist will be long (could be a year).
My son is diagnosed with development delay and have difficulties learning in school and need more attention on him. Therefore the P of the childcare is getting us to send him to a center which can best cater to his needs.
He will be attending EIPIC for 2x a week so I am trying to find a childcare center that is not too expensive that is able to take him in, while waiting for ICCP.
Would appreciate experienced parents to provide your valuable advices. If it has been mentioned somewhere in the forum before, can you let me know which thread is it and I can read up there… TIA !!!
