:? Mine is not blank. It is a web MS Excel worksheet. You may want to try again
Now I know where the calendar is. It is not the one you see on the parents portal on the inet homepage. You have to click on 'Admin Info' on the left side->School calendar ->2013.
Same here. Only a blank calendar ...MotherHen:

I beg to differ. I think there is a need for homogeneity for a couple of years.
I was packing dd's primary school work for cold storage some weeks ago. I saw the notes and projects works that they did. I saw the kind of rigor they get in the curriculum and it is obvious that do not happen in
mainstream curriculum. I think it is fair to give 2 years for the ex-mainstreamers to experience things like IRS,ISO and blend in only in year3. See it as a cup half full. It is meant to benefit, not discriminate.
As for the GEP, they need some continuity too after heir P6GEP? I think the 1st 2 years is a period for gelling the 2 groups.
BTW, someone mentioned the GEP students are spread to all classes. FYI, my dd school GEP girls all in those 5 classes, some have 260+. So you see, it is not about academic excellence that the girls are sorted. All the RGS girls are excellent and deserving the best classes. The sorting is based on their past academic immersion and experience. So let's see beyond the class numbers and class type these 2 years. All our girls are GREAT! -

My dd is a bit blur - is she supposed to wear PE shirt and culottes tomorrow and change into pinafore during recess?
What about the school tie? Is she supposed to have one already?
Last week I was told that there was no need to buy the tie because it would be given on badge initiation day. :? -

Oh..my bad then. Sorry.
It's not the Investiture Ceremony... rather the Edusave Award Presentation.gladtobemom:
Actually, your son should not wear the badge to the investiture ceremony because receiving the badge is part of the ceremony. -
May be u can call up ri to ask abt how you can go abt buying the sch badge before the investiture.
Hi Herbie,
Got the badge and tie (a bit kiasu) through the school bookshop, before knowing during reporting that the boys not supposed to wear the badge and tie before the investiture... wonder how 'tight' the requirement like... that's why asking fellow KSr what's the practice like in previous years... -

Thanks jtoh.
You can visit the booths and performances set up by the various CCAs to see what's on offer, what the CCAs do, the skill sets required, audition/trials dates, training hours, overseas trips etc. You can also participate in some of the activities. My dd's year they opened up the shooting range which was very popular among the girls who wanted to see whether they were good shots. Not sure if this is still done.
Have you been briefed on CCA already? If not, there'll likely be a short briefing for parents.
Hmm..I really can't recall if there was any CCA briefing on reporting day; probably not.
I'm still undecided on whether to attend today... -
RE: Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) [*IP]
What are parents supposed to do at the CCA orientation today?
Is there any official briefing today?
