My girl got the last qn on pattern correct. However I feel pattern qn should be removed entirely from PSLE exams. Pattern qns are such that sometimes you see it immediately and sometimes you just don't. Even as adults. During time constraints, when one is anxious, spotting a pattern may prove to be even more difficult. It is tough to get even partial marks when one cannot see the pattern, unlike other heuristic qns. Hence, I feel setters should test on things which require more of logical process thinking than one which requires strong visual perceptual skills.

      Agree. šŸ†’
It is not a IQ test, should focus more on mathematics.

why such an important, heavy weightage one big 5 marks question in 2019 psle, yet our Maths textbook don't even teach some concepts. Why ?[/quote]Well i find the question easy. At least i can get 3 marks. But in Secondary school.
They are required to find nth term. So i think this set the foundation to prepare for secondary sch.

Is anyone familiar with the marking criteria for math long answer qn? If the answer is correct, but the methods/ steps shown are entirely wrong, will there be any mark given?
i am not a specalist of primary school but secondary sch. but if the student working make sense. then i will award marks.

Hi i was a student from this sch.

      And i am in NT.
I can give you some thoughts abt life being a NT student in this sch.
For my batch, is can be very popular.
If let say when u entered sec sch, then you cannot take NA and express subject because of your PSLE grade. It okay. Still got chance one.
But it only for NA maths and NA MT.
At the end of sec 2,
Your child overall performance for NA MT/ NA maths must be above 85% + teacher recommendations.
      and also exception,
If your child want to challenge themselves in maths. Like me, they can choose to take NA Add maths.
For me, i have to take a test in Sec 3,
In december. (I was the top student in NA maths and NT maths btw)
The test is abt sec 3 NA Add maths.
And i need to pass. And luckily i pass.
For those who want to have NA maths.
It will be conducted during the same period of the maths.
Which means they will either go to another room or attend the NA classes.
So all the best in riverside.

Hi parents, i am a secondary school student. Students can choose not to bring their entry proof and student pass.

And Correction tape are not allowed in the exam. As they may cause the papers to stick.
