My 2 girls have been with L Central(Start w Thomson branch and now at Bukit Timah Plaza) for abt 4yrs. My elder girl is 8 this yr.

She started with L Central when she is abt 4. The program is quite gd for my girl. Now she is in P2 she has no problem coping with her syllbas and she score 95 and above for her English.

My 2nd girl is K2 now. She spelling and reading for her is swift. And most impt my 2 girls enjoy the class.

      Sry for the late reply.

My gal is paying $300 (Old student fees). For new student i think is 320.

The student care will provide lunch and walk the students to school.
And they also will help to sent those students who needs to attend CCA
      at a paritcular time slot.

They will revise the spelling and ting xie with them. They will ask the parents to buy a standard list of assesment books for the student care and they will teach them.

      Hi,

The student care is Smiling Star.
      Currently, i'm paying $300/mth

They will walk the student from the student care to
      School.

They coach them on their Chinese and English spelling.

So far, i'm quite happy w the student care.

      Thanks Orangebelt.

Any feedback for the student care centre?
Can I have the name of the student care centre as well?

    • RE: Recommendations for Burmese/Myanmese Maids?

I got my Myanmar maid from One Dot Consultant, Nelly.

My maid is with me for 4+ yrs.
She is quite a smart girl. When she came, she is 24 yrs old.
She can understand simple and broken English.
Must be patient w her because they are a bit slow learning how
to use the washing machine, electric appliances.

But after 3 months with my mom. She can understand simple Chinese.
Now she can speak a bit mandarin with my kids.

And she is a very good cook. I buy those cookbooks w English recipes
for her. And she will try can cook for us.

I’m consider lucky one. She is my first maid till now.
My mom likes her very much as she is the auto type. no need to keep
      telling her.

Can anyone recommend a student care centre near Bukit Panjang Primary school?

If possible, a student care centre that does childcare as well.

My boy will be entering P1 next yr. 🙂

      thanks in advance.
My gal student care is at Blk 107 Gangsa Road. But they don't have childcare service.

      hi mummy of 3,

yes i have checked with the school and the furthest school bus is to CCK. we moved to Braddell area just 2 years ago and to move again so soon is very taxing for whole family. that's why i thought i should try commute and at the same time put his name down for transfer to our neighbourhood school. Chances are slim since its high density area.
thanks very much for your input.
      Hi,

I move from Bishan (thinking of register my gal in Ai Tong which is within 1km) to Bukit Panjang last year because of my gal. She manage to get in to BPPS because my husband is old boys. We are staying in a rental unit now. Moving to our permanent house soon. Just bought a new unit nearby the school.

I have tried to arrange for transport from Bishan to Bukit Panjang. But to no valid. So don't think any of the school bus is willing to go so far, even you are willing to pay.

So its better to start planning now.

Wah… didnt know there is a ranking.

I didnt ask. The teacher just say my gal is above average.
So far she is able to cope with all the homework and the school
work. So no need to worry.

Only mandarin need to practice chinese character recognition.
      Need to practice more…
