This sounds so…fishy, like OP is just trying to market the econs tutor.

RE: horrible A level results

In all honesty, whether we think you can make it or not into NTU doesn't matter at all. What matters is how NTU staff think of your results! However, it doesn't hurt to try. I've met someone who scored straight Cs and made it into an Arts course in FASS. He simply said that had he not tried for so many courses, he might not be able to get into a course at all.Hi. I've just received my A level results and they do not look good. I have 3H2 and 2H1 subjects. I got a B for my H1 econs, however, the rest are all Ds. I would like to know if it is possible for me to get into any unis.
After checking all the university admission requirements, I realized that only NTU's requirements are \"passes\" instead of \"good grades\". Though my results are considered as passes, they are not that good. Do you think I will be able to make it into NTU? What other options do I have if I were to be rejected by NTU. Should I apply to SIM instead?
If there's no local U you can always go to a private one like SIM :x -
RE: All About A Levels

Indeed I agree that the model doesn't matter. I own a TI-PLUS (blue one, \"slower speed\") and it just lags slightly as compared to, say, a TI-PLUS silver edition mode. But, for statistics where you need to graph out the spread of information, it does lag significantly. I think most school bookshops only stock the silver edition model now, which is the fastest and latest. If being any second faster is critical to you, grab the fastest one.
Don't get too hyped up over any particular calculator model; what matters so much more is the student's ability to become significantly independent of it especially for the pure maths section (too many kids these days rely on punching in stuff to retrieve every single answer without questioning why/how) and in turn emerge a far superior, efficient learner.MdmKS:
Anyone can advise which exam model of graphing calculator best for use for A level (2014). Currently there it seems like only following 3 exam model for use till 2015 and 2016 base on SEAB.
TEXAS INSTRUMENTS
TI-84 PLUS use till 2015
TI-84 PLUS Silver Edition use till 2015
TI-84 PLUS Pocket SE use till 2016
Anyone can advise which one to buy ?
Brains over machine for maths (save for the statistics section), period.
Peace.
