My son scored 252+2. First choice cat high IP, second choice cat high O level, third choice Anderson. What are his chances of getting into any of his three choices? Thanks!!!

I think good chance for 1st choice. Almost sure thing for 2nd choice. You might want to loo at 1 or 2 more ip schoo for 2nd or 3rd choice?

Thanks! But we live in Serangoon, and the other IP schools quite far away. Should we go the extra distance?

So should I go to njc or sajc??? Is the travelling time Worth it, or is it better to stay with my current friends???

It's up to you really, you can always make new friends anywhere ๐Ÿ™‚

And errr.... Another's thing I'm concerned about is the teachers there. Are yet dedicated and will they provide help to the weaker students???( because I'm a slow learner.)
I'm not sure... In the JH the teachers can be very patient, but in JC, the pace might be much faster. My chem teacher currently hardly even explains but most people understands anyways, his lectures are good though. The math teachers and physics teachers are more dedicated. Not very sure for GP though. For bio and econs, it depends on which teachers you get.
Haha:) ok. Thanks a lot!!! I have placed njc as my first choice, and I really hope I can get in><

schools have different cultures meh?? o-o

Of course they do. Obviously, all JCs will make students work hard but beyond that there definitely is a variation in school culture. Try interacting with people across the various JCs and see for yourself.

Btw, Class of 2010 Hwa Chong alumnus here who is happy to take questions on HC ๐Ÿ˜„ (or more generally, A levels, Uni etc)

Hi there:) sass student here. I got 7 points raw(with 2 bonus cca points). I canโ€™t decide if I should I go to njc or sajc now. For me, itโ€™s 45mins to njc and 20mins to sajc. I am also not so sure of the culture in njc, because sa has a really unique culture, so will it be hard to adapt??? Furthermore, none of my friends are going to njc, and are instead returning to sajc. But academics wise, nj is definitely better. So which jc should I choose now???>< please help me ASAP!!! Thanks!!!:)
