    • RE: Networking Group - JCs General

      studentlife101:
Hey there, I was just wondering that is it wise to put a JC that is one or two points below what you have for your final L1R5 after deducting all the cut-off points that you got in your choices? I am not very sure whether to do this, help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is okay to put them in your first few choices in case there is availability or a rise in cut off points and you manage to get in but it is safer to put choices you already qualified for after them in case you are unable to get in your first few choices.

    • RE: All About Working With Children Who Are Weak Academically

There are many different reasons why a child might be doing badly in school be it stress and pressure or lack of motivation. measure can be taken to improve their grades.

Sometimes students may feel the lack of motivation in a certain subject because they do not ‘click’ with the teacher, in these cases it may be wise to get a tuition teacher for the child or consult other school .
Other cases that I have seen is merely stress yet the pressure to do well could bogged down even the most consistent of students. I think it is important to encourage them and reassure them on teir efforts. Parents shouldn’t be too quick to pin their poor results to their behavior but give them more allowance and encouragement.
Tuition may always help students do better academically but i think parents must first find their real area of needs and address them accordingly. If need be parents should do more research and enquiry to find the most suited tuition centre or tutors for their child instead of just relying on reputation
