Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone can share some info/advice please. We are in Pasir Ris and moving to near Tanjong katong primary school (TKPS) in late 2021. I have a son currently P3 and a daughter currently K1. They will be P4 and K2 respectively in 2022.


I am interested to apply for a transfer to TKPS for my son - but currently there’s no vacancies so I’ve put in a waitlist. I wonder what my chances will be like. I went through the forum and noted that schools might have a few more openings in P3 when class sizes expand, but it is full now and i’m not sure if there will be potential openings in P4 next year

- Other schools near TKPS are full too … I’ve checked on Ngee Ann and Temasek primary.
- I will put in an application for my daughter in mid 2022 for the P1 registration for TKPS starting in 2023 which will be in a later phase. If my son gets in TKPS in 2021/2022, then my daughter is guaranteed a slot which is easier for me…
- If my son doesnt get in 2021/2022 , and my daughter gets in TKPS in 2023, my son will be P5 then. I wonder if it is still possible to request/appeal for a transfer for my son, as it will be quite inconvenient to send my son and daughter to different schools.
