I am confused. Is volunteering in Sengkang grassroots entitles you to Phase 2B in Henry Park also?
Hi everyone. Both me and my spouse are in a dilemma. I am an alumni member of Henry Park Primary, so my child qualifies for phase 2A. I have also done Parent Volunteer in the school next to my house and completed the 40 hours. So my child also qualifies for phase 2B. Really unsure which to chose. Moreover we stay in Sengkang and Henry Park is in Holland Grove road. What are our chances of getting in if we live more than 2 km away for the current phase 2A? Should forgo Phase 2A and stick to Phase 2B? Confused!! Hope to get some opinions. Thanks!![/quote] -
RE: All About Home Addresses
Hi, I am confused about Phase 2B grassroots rules. Also don’t know who to ask at PA.
If I volunteer for 2 years in grassroots in a GRC Bishan-Toa Payoh (Toa Payoh East), because I live there, but want to apply for a pri school in GRC Bishan-Toa Payoh (Thomson), will they issue me a letter for Phase 2B in Thomson constituency? I am renting a house in Thomson only in 2024. I can’t volunteer in Thomson now, as it’s 4km from my current house in Toa Payoh East. -
RE: Preschool recommendations
Hi all,
I have a 2 year old toddler. My mother, 67, refuses to look after him, her grandson. She says she has a lot of community programmes, playing Pickleball, meeting her friends, shopping and volunteering at Fei Yue. Most of the looking after of my son, since birth, is done by my in-laws, 77 and 75.
My in-laws now have Covid and are out of action for 2 weeks, at least. My mother refuses to look after her grandson. She says she has been bullied by my father her whole life, and will not be bullied by me.
I am thinking of cutting my mother out of my life forever. Just like she refused to look after my son, I will refuse to look after her when she is dying. What do you think I should do?
