When did you go for the audition? Ours is today. I don't think they will have results so fast.

And if a kid is one of the top candidates at the sports, mentally strong, he/she is expected to perform very well at the audition no matter the circumstances. The same goes for other performance based domains. So I actually see nothing wrong with decisions being made heavily based on performance at the audition. I see it being a better indicator than past achievements.

The two auditions we are attending, one will be a 1min dance the school chooses, the other is 1min dance we prepare. So I think every school is different.

My girl was asked towards the end of the interview. But they didn't ask for her preference, which is quite sensible.

They can see all the materials we submitted in the application, that means they are fully aware of the other domain we also applied for. But I don't think they can see which other schools we applied.

Do parents accompany their child for DSA? In particular, dance audition?

I guess it depends on the school. But we received invitation for modern dance from SCGS and NJC. Neither of them allow parents to accompany the students. The email says, come back and fetch them after the audition. Can't even wait on campus...

School sent out the email on Jun 20th, to both our email addresses. But it never arrived in our inboxes. Our bad, thought she didn't make the cut. Should've never doubted our DD. 😆
