Interesting books I have read :
1. The Time Traveller’s Wife - Love story about a man with a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably, and about his wife, who has to cope with his frequent absences and dangerous experiences. Read it 3 times.
2. Flowers for Algernon - Algernon is a lab mouse who had undergone surgery to increase his intelligence. Story told by series of progress by Charlie Gordon, the first human test subject for the surgery. Ending was quite sad. Read it 3 times.
3. The Night Museum - A fantasy novel set in Victorian London, a magical circus that is open only from sunset to sunrise. Book kept me up throughout the night as I was excited to know the ending.
4. The Ghost Bride - settings in malacca, girl having to marry a deceased bridegroom. Chinese customs and superstitions mentioned.
5. Before I Go to Sleep - twist at ending. Psychological thriller about a woman who wakes up every day with no knowledge of who she is. She tries to reconstruct her memories from a journal she is keeping.

RE: How to train a child to learn how to pack his school bag
For me, I bought a document tray that has 5-6 drawers and label each drawers with the subject title. She’ll start by looking at timetable, for example if today is Thu evening, she’ll compare Thu and Fri timetable to see if there are any books that are not already in school bag. Then retrieve books for the new subjects for Fri from Tray. Anything not required, she’ll take out from school bag and put it back in the correct Tray. It works so far. Occasionally I’ll just check to see if she does it correctly.

Other than Royale Bintang The Curve and One World Hotel, any other recommendation for hotels that are near Kidzania? Walking distance or 10 min by taxi?
Thanks. -

RE: tour - kidzania Malaysia
pinkie:
Hi Pinkie. Did you go on a weekday or weekend? Are the photos expensive? We didn't know if they allow re-entry as we left him there alone on both occasions. This time he did more than 20jobs and some more than 5times. It was not crowded at all and I didn't see any groups from local schools. I think most of the families are Singaporeans.
He didn't try a few jobs which require minimum participants, which they cant get six at any one time through out the day. I think its probably that there are just too many other jobs to try. This time I bought more photos and he was happy to have a partner from the beginning, a boy who was there without his parents too. -
RE: tour - kidzania Malaysia
Do you know if we can exit from Kidzania for an hour and then back in? Do they allow re-entry within the same day? I suppose we can buy/have lunch in Kidzania itself?

RE: Club 3 or more Kids
I have 3 kids too and they are all in childcare. No maid but in elderly in laws stay nearby to help. For mothers who are or intend to be SAHM, does your husband support your decision? It’ll be tough to be living to one single income and at the same supporting 2 sets of parents. Does that mean you won’t have much savings?

RE: Bringing Kids to the Zoo/Night Safari/Bird Park
I was there with my kids on 27/4 at 9.30am. There was a zoo guide who provided commentary of the animals and another zoo keeper that fed the fishes. Almost every 15-30min, from 9.30am, there’ll be feeding and it’s quite exciting for the kids. We manage to catch the show (not sure if it is 11.30am) and we get to touch several animals like snake, hedgehog, turtles and close up with other animals like pelican, otter, some birds. Good visit. We left at 12.30pm.
