Hi, does anyone know the COP for the SBA Express classes? is selection for the SBA classes strictly on merit?

      TIA....

      Saw the updated book list --- 1E and 1O are the SBA classes I supposed because they had to purchase the Mentor Mathematics book.

      Not sure of COP. My girl who scored 24x is not in 1E or 1O. She has a friend whose score is 23x but is in 1O. Weird. Both girls have affiliation.

      There were 3 classes of Sec 1 SBA Express last year ... Sec 1-E/I/O, fyi.

      for 2019 Sec 1 cohort (born 2006) :

      MGS open 3 IB classes, plus 6 O-level classes

      Are they likely to mix the kids (O), IP for some classes ? Asking as IP books except English are also O level. Any chance you would know?

      No mix - IP covers more topics and additional curriculum.

      Classes made up:
      * Six Sec-1 Classes : 3 Express & 3 Express (SBA - modelled towards IP curriculum I think)
      * Three IP Classes

      Thanks phtthp. IB cut-off pt dropped from year 2017, was at 261. ‘O’ stays.

      Hi janam …

      Not sure if I’m replying right to your questions. To clarify, there are 2 separate tracks at MGS Sec:

      1. Mgs IP : A through 6-Yr programme that leads to IB Diploma at ACSI at Yr 5 & 6 (Yr 1-4 at MGS Sec); girls must qualify the yearly criteria to stay on programme.
      2. MGS Sec Express : O-level track offered at MGS Sec which at their 4th year, girls sit for GCE-O exam to qualify for pre-U insituitions e.g. JC. There’s no auto admission to ACJC; solely depends in O-level result for JC qualify & acceptance.

      Hello all … joining with DD starting MGS Sec 1 this year. Any parents know of the AEP and what it entails to take on programme? My DD is in the IP track. Thank you.

      I think only MOE will know earlier and not the schools … they will get the list of students the same day when postings are release to students … thats why sometimes students get the postings at 7 plus on that morning while the schools when called at 8 plus would say they had not receive the COP till later that day …
Oic…I thought it is school’s discretion to determine their cop based on their available vs demand not by moe.
Anybody knows what is the COP this year for the Top 10% PSLE cohort that is eligible for CAT 3 Foreign Language - 253? Anyone lower than 253 but eligible as well?

      I know of a 252 eligible.

      hojicha, thanks for sharing!
      Anyone with 251 eligible? If not, this year 2017 COP for the Top 10% PSLE Cohort will be 252, correct?
Will this means this year school cop be much lower than last year too? Does this reflect this year PSLE papers harder than last year in comparison? Thanks.
